EXPERIENCE
I’m an Idaho native, born in Caldwell and a graduate of Caldwell High School. I attended the College of Idaho — back when it was Albertson College of Idaho — and graduated in 2004 before moving to Kenosha, Wisconsin to work on the 2004 presidential campaign.
I spent eight years in Wisconsin, where I started my own political fundraising company and helped manage family-owned businesses, including college housing rentals and a car wash. That experience gave me a practical understanding of what it takes to run a business, manage costs, and make thoughtful decisions about where money is spent.
After returning to Idaho in 2012, I attended Concordia University School of Law and graduated in 2016. I then joined St. Luke’s, where I have spent nearly a decade focusing on revenue cycle regulations, provider contracting, value-based care arrangements, lab services, pharmacy operations, and other regulatory issues affecting health care providers.
I started Schmitt Regulatory Consulting to provide community providers with practical, approachable regulatory support that is tailored to their needs and mindful of their budgets. My goal is to bring clarity, strategy, and realworld business perspective to complicated healthcare issues. Outside of work, I enjoy golfing, woodworking, fishing, traveling, playing with my two dogs, and spending time with family and friends.

BUSINESS
Schmitt Regulatory Consulting was created with a simple purpose: to make practical, reliable healthcare regulatory support more accessible to the providers and facilities that need it most.
My interest in health care began long before I became an attorney. When I went to law school, I knew I wanted to work in healthcare because I wanted to be part of improving the experience patients have when they seek care. Over time, my work in billing compliance, revenue cycle regulations, and health care operations showed me how closely regulatory compliance is tied to patient access.
For many rural providers and facilities, staying current with billing rules, CMS requirements, and reimbursement changes can be difficult. Large law firms and consulting groups are often expensive, and smaller organizations may not have the resources to hire full-time compliance support. Schmitt Regulatory Consulting was built to help fill that gap.
By helping healthcare providers better understand and manage billing compliance, my goal is to support the financial stability of organizations that serve their communities. Strong compliance practices help reduce risk, protect reimbursement, and allow providers to focus on what matters most: caring for patients.
At a time when access to healthcare is more important than ever, especially in rural areas, I want to provide clear, practical guidance that helps providers continue delivering care to the people who rely on them.
